Duke University : Global Education for Undergraduates

Meet with a GEO Advisor

All students are welcome to set up appointments with our advisors. If you know the region of the world you are interested in, you can schedule an appointment with the advisor assigned to that region. Otherwise, choose the advisor assigned to general advising.

Ask a Student

In addition to seeing a GEO advisor, you might find it useful to ask a Duke student about their experience with study away. We provide several ways to contact past participants who have agreed to answer questions:

Program Costs

Program costs vary widely and change over time. However, as you research the affordability of programs, keep in mind that in many cases, you can use your financial aid and/or scholarship to study away.

For more information on financial aid as it applies to study away, visit: https://financialaid.duke.edu/current-undergraduates/study-abroad

Types of Programs

Before selecting a program, it's important to understand the difference between a Duke-Administered Program (sometimes called Duke-Ins) and Duke-Approved Programs.
