Annie Kao is a first generation Chinese-American who has worked in scholarly publishing and private sector business management. She worked for many years at Duke University Press before managing advertising finance for the Audi and Sony accounts at McKinney. She has an AB in cultural anthropology from Duke (T’92) and an MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. Annie loves that her job gives her the opportunity to work with so many interesting constituencies—undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, administrators, and people from all over the world. She has lived in four states and five countries and now proudly calls Durham her home. Annie began working with Duke's Global Education Office for Undergraduates in 2013.
