The following is a list of the policies impacting study away programs. These policies are subject to change. Students enrolled in study away programs impacted by these policies will be contacted directly if updates are made to these policies.

Student Responsibilities & Expectations

Compliance with the instructions outlined below is required for continued participation in your Duke-supported study away program (Duke-Administered and Duke-Approved); violation may result in the removal of the program and/or other appropriate disciplinary action.

These Policies provide students who choose to study away on a Duke-supported program guidance for limited scenarios. All students are required to comply with all applicable national, federal, state, or local health and safety laws, orders, ordinances, regulations, and health and safety guidance adopted by Duke or GEO as it relates to public health crises, including COVID-19.

 

FALL 2021 STUDY AWAY REFUND POLICY

If programs are cancelled before participants are given permission to purchase airfare and begin the visa process:

If programs are cancelled after participants are given permission to purchase airfare and begin the visa process but before the program departs:

If programs are cancelled after the program begins:

*Direct deposits are only available to those on Duke payroll.
