Duke in Tanzania Field Studies Summer 2026 Info Session

Come learn about Duke in Tanzania Field Studies with director Charles Musiba. Spend 4 weeks this summer learning about evolutionary anthropology in the Ngorongoro Crater.

You'll dig for fossils, map ancient landscapes, and work side by side with experts from Duke and partner universities in Tanzania, the U.S., and beyond. This is real field science - hands-on, outdoors, and unforgettable. By the end of the program, you'll gain practical research skills, experience in excavation and mapping, and a deeper understanding of how humans and environments have shaped one another over millions of years.
