DukeEngage Business Manager
Deepa Gopalakrishnan joined the Finance and Operations team in November of 2023 as a Business Manager for DukeEngage. Born and raised in India, Deepa embarked on her professional journey with an MBA in Finance and spent two years at GE Consumer Finance before relocating to the United States following marriage. Taking a hiatus from her career, she indulged in her passion for travel and explored the national parks. In 2008, Deepa resumed her career in Operations at Fidelity Investments, where she remained for seven years. Subsequently, she transitioned to the Investment Bank sector at Credit Suisse, contributing to their Securitized Products Control group, before entering her current role as Business Manager with OUE. Beyond her professional pursuits, Deepa finds joy in traveling and discovering new cities. During weekends, you can often spot her at Johnson Lake or Umstead Park.
Primary responsibilities: Treasurer of EDUCO, an educational consortium where students from Duke, Emory, Cornell and Tulane Universities experience total immersion in French life and culture in Paris. Responsibilities include finance administration, monthly reconciliation and preparing annual budgets.
