Class of 2022 - Political Science
Duke in Oxford

Jules explores Oxford

I chose to study away on the Duke in Oxford program after meeting with the DAE, or Director of Academic Engagement, during the spring semester of my first year. She introduced me to the program because I had expressed my interest in political science and philosophy, and I was curious about the different ways that I could study and explore those subjects outside of the classroom at Duke.

For me, it was a really easy decision to make, because I was thrilled and excited about the course I would be taking [at Duke in Oxford].

I really wanted to have an exploratory and interactive experience during my first summer at Duke, and felt there was no better way than to learn political philosophy from an Oxford professor at the birthplace of PPE - Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

Financial aid really, really helped support me in going to Oxford and doing the Duke in Oxford program.

Take advantage of this first summer at Duke. Travel somewhere unforgettable, learn something incredible related to your major and career path, or just something you've always wanted to learn, and go on a study away program!
