Christine has been a part of the GEO team since 2022. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Appalachian State University and a master's degree in higher education administration from NC State University. Prior to joining Duke, she held roles at UNC Chapel Hill, the Research Triangle Foundation, NC State, and Meredith College. Her passion for international education emerged when she joined a student organization during her first year at Appalachian State that focused on supporting exchange students and encouraging domestic students to study abroad. This involvement encouraged her to become an exchange student herself and she spent a semester abroad during her sophomore year in Trieste, Italy. Christine also served as the exchange student advisor at NC State for her graduate assistantship. She has traveled on shorter trips internationally to Canada, China, and several countries in Europe.

Christine has a strong interest in supporting and encouraging underrepresented students to study away. She is passionate about ensuring that all students feel studying away is an option for them and encouraging them to find a sense of community where they go. She feels incredibly fortunate to bring that passion to her work in the GEO office. As a believer that one of the best ways to learn about a culture is through food, she can often be found trying different local restaurants or new recipes at home.
