Heidi Halstead grew up in San Antonio and has a B.A. in English and theater arts from Texas A&M University, where she subsequently started KEOS, a community-based non-profit radio station. She worked at Texas A&M as the testing administrator from 1997-2000. She then earned her Masters of Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2002, through which she completed a 13-week internship in Grahamstown, South Africa at the National Schools Arts Festivals. Prior to joining Finance & Administration for the Office of Undergraduate Education in 2013, Heidi served for nine years as the business manager of Duke's music department.
