Whitney Alam
Whitney Alam is the New York-based Resident Coordinator for Duke in New York Fall, Spring, and Summer study away programs. They serve as the main contact for students while they are away from campus, and point students to the various resources available. Whitney also partners with the faculty to organize events and experiences in line with the program’s goals to nurture every participant’s academic, personal, and professional interests as students intern with some of the world’s industry leaders. Whitney received their bachelor's degree in psychology from Columbia University in 2017, and their master's degree in Educational Leadership, Politics, & Advocacy from New York University, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, & Human Development in 2021.
