Some of the best experiences during our time in France were the excursions to Provence in the south and Brittany in the north. We were able to partake in a new aspect of this diverse culture, and learn first hand about the different landmarks of this region. Of the cultural differences between these regions and Paris, the cuisine was the most interesting to experience, and what I was looking forward to the most.
The geographical diversity of the country allows for this breadth of culinary creation and creativity, something that was also salient in discussing the different types of wine throughout the country. I hope to continue learning about different cultures in the future, particularly how and why their specific cuisine plays into their daily lives.
For anyone considering studying in France, the most important piece of advice is to go into everything with an open mind, and be willing to try things that are unfamiliar. Don't let fear stand between you and the experience of a lifetime.
